This program provides an overview of how stone veneer, as a building material, has evolved in today’s construction techniques utilizing thin and lightweight products as a Veneer/Trim, and, how they are quickly becoming an alternative choice for masons, architects and designers. The tour that will teach the processes and details required to manufacture paver, segmental retaining wall and big block wall techniques. The tour will walk through the various stages of the manufacturing process — from raw materials to the finished product, participants will see every step along the way. From the material feeding to the conveyer belts to the product curing in the kiln, the plant tour encompasses every manufacturing step to ensure the group understands and appreciates all that goes into the manufacturing of hardscape products.
